The CanSAT Competition is an annual sponsored event open to North American High Schools and Universities. The Pennsylvania State University entry into the 2007 CanSAT competition is currently being designed, fabricated, tested, integrated, and managed by undergraduate students. The project is intended to provide any interested student with an introduction to space systems and training for future projects within the Student Space Programs Laboratory. The current team of 9 Freshmen and 1 Upperclassman are actively developing a miniaturized payload involving a wide variety of engineering disciplines. Anyone interested in being an active member in the SSPL lab should consider CanSAT as a chance to get a head start training and networking with upperclassmen in related projects.
